E-Mail & Online Questions
While we understand that many of our patients use email for communications, Annapolis Pediatrics does not currently accept emails of a medical nature. We can’t offer medical advice via email and we do not submit email communications to our physicians and nurse practitioners at this time. Patients who need to contact us for anything pertaining to your child’s medical care or to submit information to your medical file must contact our offices by phone. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Non-medical questions can be submitted to us using the “Send Us A Message Online” button below. Questions can be sent on the following topics: prescriptions, referrals, future appointments, medical or immunization records. To submit a question, click here:
Phone Hours Differ from Office Hours
Our phone hours do vary from office hours. In general, we begin receiving phone calls before we start seeing patients for the day. The Annapolis Call Center begins answering calls at 8:00am every day. These dedicated triage nurses answer medical questions and offer advice over the phone. In some cases, the nurse confers with the doctor and nurse practitioner as required before returning the call. Calls to the triage line will be returned within 24 hours.
If you need to reach a nurse after hours simply call our office directly and follow the voice mail instructions to be automatically transferred to Triage 4 Pediatrics. However, if you are unable to reach the office you can call Triage 4 Pediatrics directly at 877-773-4261. Please be aware, there is a charge for non-urgent after hour medical calls. The call charge of $15.00 will be billed directly to the parent. Only calls that are true emergencies, meaning calls in which the nurse or provider refers you directly to the Emergency Room or a visit to our office the next day, will be exempt from charge. In addition, we will not charge for calls on questions relating to an office visit that occurred within the previous seven days. Our after hours service can not schedule appointments or call in routine prescription refills. If your question is non-urgent, you can wait until our normal in-office triage hours to avoid a charge. Or if you would like free nurse advice after hours you can access Ask AAMC from 8am-1am seven days a week or call your insurance companies’ triage service if available.
