The Integrated Behavioral Health Service at Annapolis Pediatrics is a collaborative, patient-centered model integrating mental health expertise into pediatric primary care. Within this framework, our therapists are embedded in our primary-care sites to participate in direct patient care and interdisciplinary consultations to serve a diverse patient population. This role is supported by a team of patient care coordinators to help facilitate linkage to care, as needed, in the community.
Role
Annapolis Pediatrics is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly organized Lead Therapist to support clinical operations, lead the behavioral health team, and deliver high-quality mental health services within our pediatric primary care model. The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical judgment, experience with ages 5–22, and strengths in program coordination, workflow development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Leadership & Program Development
Provides day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for the behavioral health team, including supervision, case consultation, workflow support, and resource coordination. Leads hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of therapists; collaborates with physicians to ensure integrated behavioral health services; and contributes to policy and clinical pathway development. Monitors program performance, manages scheduling and site logistics, and works with the team to expand innovative services. Serves as the clinical expert, offering guidance and corrective action to maintain high standards of care.
Clinical Responsibilities
Conducts comprehensive intake assessments and develops individualized treatment plans. Delivers short-term, long-term, and transitional therapy to children, adolescents, and families using evidence-based modalities. Provides real-time consultation to pediatric providers, completes crisis risk assessments and safety planning, and maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
Training & Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Develops and delivers mental health trainings for medical staff and supports ongoing behavioral health education for pediatric providers. Helps design and expand innovative behavioral health services and serves as the liaison and clinical site supervisor for training programs, coordinating and facilitating student placements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Maryland license (LCPC, LCSW-C, PhD, PsyD); supervisory licensure strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years pediatric/adolescent therapy experience preferred.
- Experience in integrated primary care or clinical leadership preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with EHR systems.
- Solid knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT behavior modification or parent management training.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this W2 position is $70,000 - $90,000. Salary is dependent on years of professional experience, licenses, certifications, and similar experience to current employees in the position.
