Cancer Prevention: What You Need to Know About the HPV Vaccine
Annapolis Pediatrics is happy to partner with Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) to help raise awareness and educate parents and health care providers about the importance of the HPV vaccine as a form of cancer prevention.
For many reasons, it is best for both boys and girls to start this series at 11-12 years of age. Children under the age of 15 require two doses separated by at least 6 months, and children starting at 15 and older require three doses.
Here’s a message directly from Dr. Parmele, Annapolis Pediatrics’ Chief Medical Officer, regarding the safety of the HPV vaccine.

Please see our website or talk to your provider about any questions you have regarding effectiveness, safety, or timing of this important immunization.
